RE: Computer Charge?
Soon I will be traveling to AUS/TAS, and I will be taking my HP laptop. What conversion plugs do I need to re-charge my computer? What other problems will I run into when in a foreign country, ie: e-mail/internet provider, etc?
Thank you for any assistance you might offer me.

Your laptop power supply should work on both 120 volts (US) and 240V (AUS). You can easily verify this by looking at the power supply and seeing if it lists both as acceptable inputs. If it does, all you need is a cheap plug adapter, not a power converter.

HI Doppy!
Thank you for your post. I checked the adapter that came with my HP, and the plug from the wall fits into a large adapter, which then plugs into my computer to charge it. The only thing I can read on the adapter is it is made in China, but the plug from the wall says "125V". So, I'm assuming it's a step-down adapter (to 120V), but maybe I could use this with a foriegn plug adapter for a 240V step-up at the wall? Thanks for your help.

The adapter doesn't say that the input range is 110-220/240?
I guess you can also check the manual (probably online if you don't have it) to see what it says. Like I said above, I'd be suprised if the power adapter couldn't handle both US and foreign voltages.
