The device itself (as a standalone unit) has been around for a few years now, and was the center of some really weird controversy over patents and stolen ideas...
Those that did get their hands on one were not impressed:
The projected image is too dark
Tapping away on your desk really hurts the fingers after 10 minutes
It isn't very accurate
The technology behind the system sure has potential, but it will take several years to reach its full potential...

second that
Yeah, I have tried this product at all the shows, for oh bout TWO YEARS now and it still hasn't hit the market, and hasn't gotten any real positive reviews. TWO years ago, it was an interesting concept since we didn't really have a lot of consumer devices with bluetooth, and IR wasn't completly standard across cell phones and PDA, least not to the point that you could just buy ONE keyboard and use it across ALL devices.
today, I prefer to have my very small and light bluetooth keyboard, that pairs up with all my devices, should I wish to go crazy and write a lot. Although, the last time I did do that, I was hiking the inca trail to Machu Pichu with just my ipaq, extended battery and this keyboard. I did a nice little journal every day with it, and when I arrived in aquas callientes.
What I CANNOT wait for, are the pads that you will simply put your electronic devices on, and they will charge up. No plugs, no jacks, just JUICE BABY!!
