Question connect.com & iTunes?

I am looking at downloading some of the performances from the Tsunami Aid Concert and see that they're available at connect.com, which definitely has a Sony affiliation.

The website states that you need connect.com software to download. Is the the Sony proprietary format compatible with iTunes?

Apparently not.

Question
When I download from ConnectTM, what file format do I receive?

Answer
Files you download from the ConnectTM Music Store are encrypted in the OpenMG (*.omg) file format.

OpenMG is Sony's copyright protection technology. Audio content is encrypted using an OpenMG compliant program, such as SonicStage, and stored on a computer's hard disk for playback.

Thanks!

In Sony's zeal to make markets conform to their technology, the only time they don't shoot themselves is when they're stopping to re-load.

You would really think they would learn.

Every Sony manager should have these letters printed in their office:
