And check out the numbers of dollars people are donating online. One provider has taken in $20 million for the agencies using it in three days, with one of their agencies collecting $2 million online in one day. The Red Cross has taken in something like $18 million, and Amazon has collected another $3.4 for them. Without online donations, these checks would just be arriving today if trhey were mailed Monday or Tuesday.

It's also been interesting to see how the relief agencies have been changing their websites to handle the traffic and to provide information. All of the major players have significantly changed their websites to reflect the needs of us clicking for information. Once an agency gets a plane on the ground, they can in seconds have pictures of the supplies being unloaded or whatever posted, and people get a sense as to where their dollars are going.

Book mark all the majors and check a few times a day, it's amazing.
