I see that from time to time. I figure it was just overloaded. However, if you're sending a message, I think it really is sending it, so be carfeul about sending it again and again.

I get that message all the time when I bring my laptop from stand-by, but this time the problem is consistent.
I guess I gotta do the good old reboot solution.

No problem here either.
Try the new Gmail Notifier, it's a new applet that sits in your taskbar, although not solving the problem, it may be somewhat of a workaround.
