Question EbatesMoeMoneymaker - How Do I Get Rid of It?

This Ebates POS has taken up residence on my main machine. I've done the reg edit thing & removed everything I could find, but it looks like it's still running in the background; additionally, when I shut down, I get an error message that "EbatesMoeMoneyMaker0.dll could not connect".

Anyone have experience in getting rid of and BLOCKING this program?

Thanks in advance.

I have it on my machine by choice. However, whenever I run AdAware it picks MoeMoneyMaker up, so I suspect AdAware will remove it.

Adware did not remove it for me... go to your control panel, add/remove programs, and hunt down the list for it.... it is plainly listed.... remove it. I have another thread about this program running in Travel Buzz....blaming Priceline for putting it on my comuter...but others say it was not them

AdAware didn't make a dent in it & I had already tried the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs unsuccessfully. Now that I've done the reg edit, the Add/Remove seems to have worked. I'll let you know when I power down.

Thanks for the advice. ^

p.s. for david4455: I've never been on Priceline, so at least I know I didn't get it there. I might have picked it up from a toilet seat......

Aside from them getting a commission whenever you buy stuff online, what's the benefit of this program?

XP SP2 has an add-on manager in it. By clicking on tools --> manage add-ons, you can disable the program even if you can't fully get rid of it.
