Cingular sells 'Cingular Interactive' (Mobitex network)

Somewhat intersting, yet not particularly surprising, since this isn't really core to Cingular's business.

ATLANTA, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless, L.L.C. has agreed to sell its Cingular Interactive, L.P. subsidiary to affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Cingular Interactive network supports approximately 25 percent of all Blackberry users worldwide. Hundreds of applications enabling field force automation, telemetry, and remote transaction processing are sold directly by Cingular Interactive and by its resellers.
