RE: PDA Conversion?

I don't know where else in FlyerTalk that there are so many smart folks, so I would like to ask a question: I will be renting cars in London, Paris and South Africa. If I took my cigarette lighter 12V charger for my PDA, would it work in the foreign rental cars without blowing my PDA up? Thank you for your assistance.

Yes it will, that is quite universal worldwide.

I'm not really sure what this has to do with miles or points, so I'm going to move it over to TravelBuzz.

Yes it will work. Some cars over there (OK and imports here) have a slightly different lighter socket size, so the adapter may not work, you may need to get another one, but you will probably be fine.

I have a USB trickle-charger for my Sony Cli. I haven't used it overseas, but I have to think it would plug into any computer easily.

The 12V car adapter does sound like a good way to go for telephone recharging as well.
