is it possible...

to run a cord from my fax machine to my Sprint PCS cell phone and send a fax. Can I receive a fax this way? The reason I ask is that I would love to get rid of my landline. I know this is not strictly travel related, but I thought you guys would be the best people to ask.

No clue about cell phone faxing, but you can send and receive faxes over the internet using services such as eFax.

Nope, AFAIK there is no analogue to PCS conversion cable.

Your only option would be to hook the phone up to a PC and use a scanner and software fax solution.

You can send and receive faxes via the Internet using services like J2 and eFax. One of the positve aspects of these services is you can receive faxes as email attachments, so you can get them anywhere you can get your email.

However, if you need to fax copies of exisiting documents or similar items, you'll need to scan them first.
