Mobile Phones
Thanks to everyone who responded on my iSight question. I'll have to post the results once I get the system working.
On another note, what is a good mobile phone service to use? I'm going to be based in Chicago but will be travelling frequently to NY, SF and DFW. My employer does not look too kindly on personal calls on the company phone so I need to get one for myself. One other point, I want favourable rates to call friends and family in Canada.
Any pointers?

Your employeer needs to wake up. If you need a phone for work, you need a phone for work. Many plans now offer a zillion more minutes then you will need for the office, unless they are pooling their minutes for all of their people, you are just throwing those away at the end of each month.
No matter who you choose, you can always use a calling card if necessary for Canada if the rates aren't great, Onesuite.com for example, who I use for all my long distance calls at home, offers 2.5 cents per minute to canada. Use the minutes on the cell to get access to a local number in the states, then call Canada for pennies.

To answer your question:
1. Do a search. There are a zillion threads about this.
2. Check out howardforums.com, which has more info than you could ever need.
3. Just get T-Mobile and be done with it, like ScottC says.

Second the vote for onesuite.com
works great from the cell phone too (although prob. not needed for calls to the Canada annex)
