Max Memory in a PDA

My wife thinks she wants a Palm T2 (always was a cheap date). Anyone know what is the max memory on this thing(I do not PDA). Palm sells a 128meg add on card, but others are offering a 256 meg card. How much will the T2 address, and are there better PDA alternatives(for the same $238+shipping, or close)?

That's a heck of a lot of memory for a Palm OS based system! I have a Sony Clie with a 128MB memory stick that's less than 1/2 full and I keep pictures, documents, books, tons of games, and a bunch of MP3's on it. Are you sure you need that much?

edited to add: I think the T2 is a fine PDA for the money. I do like the design of the Sony Clie though. Check out these two websites for deals on refurbs etc.

I don't need any memory(I forget evrything), but my wife is one of those max it out type people.

Concerning price, The "open box" T2's are $264 with no S&H, and 30 or 90 day warantee.

Harmony(the old Hi Fi and Camera compani in NYC) has new T2's for $239 + 12, with a year warantee.

If you get a PDA that takes Compact Flash, you can use the Hitachi 4Gb Microdrive

The largest SD cards are 512mb I believe. Frankly I feel that you would be wasting your money if you purchase a memory card that large for a Palm without knowing what you are going to use it for.

1Gb cards will be coming out soon though.
