Running it on USB 2.0, on my new IBM X31 Thinkpad.

The software doesn't recognize that a CD or DVD is inserted in the drive.

With exact audio copy, it will see a CD but won't read anything successfully on it. It did work once (and I mean once)

I removed the ASPI drivers from my system and am scratching my tiny little head over this. I might have old ASPI drivers. It is confusing.

I am tempted to call HP but I doubt they would be able to help.

Exact Audio Copy doesn't talk to the drive -- the drive makes a bunch of cricket sounds and than XAC says that no compatible read command is found.
