But of course I spent my college years listening to it over and over again as USC kicked Stanford's butt on the football field, so I have a Pavlovian response to it.

I have to give credit though... we all think it's hilarious that the Stanford band had a counter for how many times our song was played Originally Posted by bpratt

Oh forgot... I once had the SportsCenter song as my text alert. Gone now, but now I have Monday Night Football ^

But I checked, and I don't think she'd let me record her.

I don't really use a ringtone. I rely on "good vibrations".

I'm not that into ringtones, but for unknown/restricted callers I use a ringtone of "Who can it be now" by Men at Work-it usually gets a giggle or two.
When I set my alarm, I usually use the "Can Can"- that's one loud and annoying ringtone!
RE: nag, nag, nag......You could always search for a soundbite of "Harcourt Fenton Mudd" from the original Star Trek series where the guest (Harry) made robots and they reprogrammed them all to look and sound like his nagging wife....the end shot shows him followed by a whole bunch of them "Harcourt Fenton Mudd, what do you think you're doing.....etc, etc...."

I have my BB on vibrate, but use William Tell Overture for alarms.
I'm a big Sci-fi fan, and LIttle Miss Redbeard uses the ST:TNG theme for my calls.

I use a wav file of an old telephone with an actual bell ringing. It's a great recording, and when my cellphone rings, it sounds just like an old bell-equipped desk telephone, i.e. it actually rings.
I think a phone should sound like a phone. Now my cellphone does.

Polyphonic Ring Tones - 32 times more annoying than standard ringtones.
About 5 years ago I flirted with the (1970s) Battlestar Galactica theme - which really toyed with the minds of the unwashed as they recognised something faintly familiar, but couldn't place it.
Now I use the standard Nokia ringtone on my 6310i - a sound that has gone from the most common ringtone in the universe to the most obscure.
If they ever bring out a phone that let's you have all 40-odd minutes of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells", I'll buy that.
