I've had one... Suffice to say it's a Nokia 3650 with new plastics and a rights management system for software... It's the SAME hardware as the 3650

I refuse to answer that
You can get pre-order info for the US at http://preorder.n-gage.com
Some comments
1. Graphics "suck". Well it's great for a mobile phone and against gameboy. But NOWHERE close to where the PS portable device will be
2. OS is good... standard Symbian OS w/Nokia Series 60
3. MP3 quality is medicore. Not having a true MP3 decode solution does tax the app processor.

No, mine is "legit"
The biggest negative of ngage is that the "cooler" games are on MMC cards. Not a big deal... actually a good thing. However the DUMB move by Nokia is to put the MMC reader BELOW the battery! (DOH!).
Translation into English: To play the cool games, Nokia wants you to turn off the phone, REMOVE the battery and swap out/insert the game MMC (those in Atari 2600 days, think cartridge), put the battery back in and power it on. Not at ALL elegant compared to a Gameboy or the forthcoming Sony PS handheld

I played with one at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose about 6 months ago. It's first generation and pretty much a proof of concept for now. The second generation is the one you'll really want.
If you will be in London next week, check out http://www.gdc-europe.com/conference/ and you can see the latest from Nokia and their competition.
