Our Compaq 2800 projector just died. What is your reccomendation for the best "micro protable projector for road warrior power point presentations.

Must be:

I have the 2800 myself and presuming you want the same kind of projector I'd advise looking at one of these:

BTW: can't you just get the 2800 repaired? Considering the price it's a **** shame if it's damaged beyond repair...

I've been wanting a new projector because the 2800 is kind of noisy. Our IT guys figure it will cost about $1000 to fix it and they say that new projectors are significantly better. They advise against spending a bunch of money to repair the 2800.

I'm curious to hear what people think of the new small units from vendors like Proxima and InFocus. InFocus has a unit that weighs just 2.4 Lbs.

Another web site to chech out is Projector Central:

We were looking at the infocus 2.4 lb one but couldn't justify it costing twice as much as the under six pound one. Personally, I think when they get that easy to carry away, they will disappear much quicker when somebody turns their back on them.

I have the InFocus LP130 and love it. It is quiet, reliable, small, and extremely light. It is expensive though.
