I had to replace a motherboard in a 2019ish Windows PC back in 2020. Now, I'm wondering if I should have just checked the battery.
. To be fair, I did break down and take it to a local computer shop and they said it was the motherboard...but I didn't have them change it, I DIYed it. Anyway, it's now running Linux and running some LLMs (far more efficienty than Windoze).
It's also connected to a UPS (because I suspected power might have been a culprit).
