TMobile 5G Roaming in Canada

I just came back from Canada and was pleasantly to see that my IPad Pro (2021) roamed on Bell 5G. I have previously roamed on 5G in Alaska with it, but this is the first time I’ve had foreign roaming at 5G speeds.

Pretty good. Latency (ping time) was very good. I’ll run some tests next time I am across the border

I believe At&t doesn't offer any 5G roaming https://forums.att.com/conversations...8c920f41a4082a, and VZW only in SK https://www.verizon.com/about/news/v...ers-5g-global?

That's amazing. I'll test this out in the near future and report back.

Greetings from the 401 expressway heading through London (with my wife at the wheel). With TMobile, I roamed on 5g in Hamilton, Burlington, and London so far. I was on LTE in Niagara Falls. I thin the bigger news is before I only roamed on 5g with Bell. Today I also had Telus. I know Telus and Bell share a fair amount of infrastructure, but it was still interesting.

Keep in mind that Canada and the US are still in the early stages of rolling out 5G. It'll be a long time before 5G coverage matches that of 4G LTE.
