Whats App Expert Needed - web version chat backup
Im guessing this is a very very long shot..... but, Im wondering if someone on these boards is tech-savvy with WhatsApp (and preferably with its Web based version), as I need to know if what I want to do is feasible or only a (bad) dream.....
Due to a severe mistake on my part, I failed to properly set the backup settings on Whats App and after a problematic Iphone restore mechanism Ive lost almost 2 months worth of chat history and a good amount of important information. Aside from having learned a costly lesson, Im trying to figure out if the Web based version of Whats App has some sort of independent back-up of chat history that I may be able to reach out to recover some of the information I have lost...??

WhatsApp chats can only be restored if they were archived or backed up on the phone or the cloud. Otherwise, you can't recover deleted messages.

Whatsapp's web version doesn't actually do anything besides show a copy of what's on your phone. It doesn't even work if your phone isn't currently online, because only your phone can send and receive messages.
