Basic question about Digital HD codes and multiple devices

Hi all,

We're going to buy our kids a DVD for Chanukah. Amazon says that it comes with a digital code. I assume that means I can upload it to an iPad.

Typically, with these digital codes, will it go into iTunes or some other storage place on the iPad. Also, I know that if it is in iTunes, the kids can watch it on separate devices. I don't know about any other media software. How does it usually work when it comes to watching a movie on multiple devices simultaneously?

Thanks,
Mike

It's been a while but I think it depends on the dvd and studio.

I believe I've had ones that came with an itunes redemption code.

Which DVD? Did you look at the q&a under the item on amazon?

thanks. DVD is The Secret Life of Pets. Doesn't come out until tomorrow, so there is no Q&A.

There is a link next to the digital copy expiration date when I look at the DVD + Blu Ray + Digital Copy version.

https://smile.amazon.com/Digital-Cop...11&ref=dp_dced

It says compatible with iTunes and Windows Media

I think it's from Universal, right? Here's a link to their digital copy FAQ ...
