WIDI

I was wondering if WIDI for projectors is the same like Miracasting? On the Intel Wireless cards they support WIDI so I was wondering if this means you can Miracast your videos to the wireless projector and vice versa?

So is WIDI essentially HDMI over WiFI?

Thanks
