Simple iTunes alternative?
As noted in this thread I can't use the old iTunes on my wife's PC to put music onto my phone (running iOS 9).
I was using CopyTrans Manager fine, but I put a new SSD into this laptop two months ago, and when I reinstalled CopyTrans Manager I had to reinstall the drivers. Unfortunately the CopyTrans driver install, while it ran fine, didn't work.
Are there any *simple* iTunes alternatives, like CopyTrans Manager (ie free!) that work under win7 and iOS9? All I want to do is to be able to move some songs on/off the phone - nothing else.
I know that I could use iTunes 12 but I really hate the look/feel and bloatedness of it...
EDIT: Sorry about vagueness of thread title, I should have been clearer that I'm looking for an alternative, rather than offering one. Seems like I'm not alone either, given that 400 people have viewed this thread and no-one has replied...

Ok I'll bite.. I read the other thread ut for completeness sakes let me get things straight:
1) you had an old iPod full of music
2) which music you then copied to your computer using CopyTransManager
3) now you want to get said music to your iPhone
4) but can't because you use an old iTunes version on your computer?
so I think what your question is:
How do I manually manage music on my iPhone without using iTunes?
One quick question: did you install CopyTransManager from a fresh download or from backup? If its the former, then I'm not sure why it didn't work. If it's the latter then I would suggest perhaps trying the former....
Perhaps consider consulting this page as well?
Imazing is another utility but it requires registration to unlock all the features...

Why not figure out what's going wrong with your drivers?
Google Music is also an option if simply streaming the music from the cloud is satisfactory.

Copytrans manager still seems to be supported. Did you download the current version of it?

Thanks all for the comments.
FDw - sorry, I was really just referencing that thread as background. From there, I got to copytransmanager, which was perfect for what I wanted - a simple way to get music onto my iphone.
My issue now is that the current version of copytransmanager doesn't seem to be loading the drivers correctly (in other words, I've done exactly as they suggest in terms of loading drivers, but I still get an error message telling me t load drivers).... so I was looking for an alternative.
Orlandoswan, javabytes - I have no interest on doing anything on the cloud/streaming. I only tend to listen to the music on my phone on planes anyway.
And yes, I should figure out what's wrong with the drivers. How do I do that ?
PS LIH Prem - yes, downloaded and installed using latest versions...
