FT type forum for Tech issues?

Does anyone know of a FlyerTalk type of forum that deals with all sorts of Tech issues - computing, communications, gadgets et al? This FT forum is great for issues that are related to international travel, but I am simply looking for a tech forum which has nothing to do with travel. Any suggestions?

There are numerous sub-Reddit threads that deal with a particular subject/topic/supplier/operating system, etc. For instance, i subscribe to:

Jailbreaks
iPhone
Apple
Technology
iPad
Kindle
TMO
Verizon

Do to reddit, do general search and they'll pop up for subscription.

How is Reddit and some of the others when you ask a newbie question ,

Do you get the "look it up on google" reply ? which I would assume you already did and did not find an answer

You might try this one, I've found a few good answers there:

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/

There's another US based forum, has some guy's name in the title, just can't find it at the moment....arrgghhh...

Tom's Hardware perhaps? I've found some useful stuff over there.

I should add that if you're looking for a forum on home networking, I like SmallNetBuilder's forums.

It's SomeLastNameforum.net

Frustrates me that I can't remember or google it. Lots of voip info, etc, and reasonably helpful posters with few grumpy trolls. Hopefully someone else's memory is better than mine.

SomeLastNameforum.net probably not howardforums.com ? It is a forum oriented towards US, Canada, and Europe mobile providers, both post and prepay. There's some stuff for mobile devices though I find specific to a model device is better on xda-developers if it is android and reddit for nexus devices.

Wink

Computing, communications, gadgets et al is too broad of a category. You will get more luck the better you can narrow down your area of interest.
For example:

Photography: photo.net/community/
Digital photography: www.dpreview.com/forums
Nikon cameras forum: www.nikonians.org/forum_lobby

What communications are you interested in? Shortwave radio or mobile phones? Android or iOS?

What computing do you have in mind? Computer programming? IT? Building your own PC?

Gadgets making or gadgets using?

See what I mean?
