Can Google Maps Show Several POIs Simultaneously?
Google Maps (maps.google.com) is a very good site for planning a trip. You can type in the name of a point of interest (e.g., empire state building), and it will pin the location on a map. The map includes a graphic scale at the lower right corner.
If you enter another point of interest (e.g., new york public library), the first pin disappears and a pin for the new point of interest is displayed.
Is there a way to get Google Maps to not hide the first pin? I would like to enter several locations, and be able to see where they all are in relation to each other.

If you have a Gmail account you can do this.
Log into your gmail account and choose google maps. Once logged in "My Maps" will appear as an option on the dropdown menu on the left hand side of the screen. Clicking on "My Maps" allows you to create and save a map with different POI.

You can create custom Google My Maps so you save or pin several POIs, given them unique icons and save those as a layer on top of a custom map.
So for instance, you can save the location of Times Square, Central Park, the hotel where you plan to stay, and as many other POIs you want to save and have it all as a custom map.
The newest update of Google Maps just came out for iOS today and you can now open these custom My Maps on iOS devices. I would assume the Android version also gets this feature, if it didn't have it already.
