Thankfully haven't had to test it but the spill-resistance on Thinkpads is a nice feature too. I won't drop mine in a tub or pool tho.

Spill resistance of the Thinkpads is limited to liquid spilled onto the keyboard, there is a membrane and drainholes to channel the spilled liquid out.
It has happened about 5 times over two Thinkpads.

In olden days, the best tech tip ever was to hit it (think tv sets that were flickering). This could be called booting it.
