Wide angle video recording android app?

Wide angle video recording android app?
I hope this is the right forum. I'm just inquiring if anyone knows of an android app which extends the wide angle video recording capability of the tablet's rear facing camera? I'd like to film things up close without resorting to using my phone camera or packing another digital camera of some kind. I currently have to backup as though I'm video recording with an 85mm lens instead of a 28mm one using the tablet. I am currently using a clip on wide angle lens but the attachment is subject to eventual loss and replacement.

Just to clarify....
They GalaxyTab 7 basically crops the sensor, making the image you take not be as wide angle as the hardware supports, correct?
You don't want some software to magically make this into a wide angle camera is how I first interpreted that. Granted I'm tired, and running on very little sleep, so it might just be me.

correct, I believe the hardware is driven by the software to start out at an increased zoomed-in setting than it needs to be. I'm looking for some software which defaults the camera at a more "zoomed-out" setting.
