SticknFind Bluetooth Tracker

Hi,
Have you guys seen http://www.sticknfind.com/
it's a sticker (not water proof) that you attach to anything you want, and you can track (distance only, non-directional) the item via bluetooth with your Iphone or some Android phones (Bluetooth 4.0 not standardized in Android yet).

It costs like 25 bucks each, which is not cheap.

The main applications would be to track your wallet\keys in case they get lost- and maybe even the phone itself with a secondary phone.

You can also track your luggage apparently which is neat.

This seems like a no-brainer idea and I wonder if other companies will soon enter and make this a fairly commoditized product.

Seems like a silly product for silly people. They claim a range of 100 feet, but every Bluetooth thing I've seen had a range of maybe 30 feet. Either way, it seems pointless.

Check out the "Find Me" button in app

Inside the app is a "find me" button that lets you get a notification when your phone can see your sticker in range. I think I would use this and then relax and not be watching EVERYWHERE for my bag like a crazy man for 20 minutes but just chat on the phone or do other things and then look down when I get notified. $25? Sure why not.

Technology is constantly improving. There's no reason it has to stay at 30 feet forever. The claim is now 150 feet. (http://www.newsgab.com/tech-news/244...ded-range.html)

It would have many uses. Besides letting you know that your bag is near the luggage carousel. it will tell you if someone is walking off with your bag or your laptop.

If you're traveling with children, it will alert you if the kid wanders off. And help locate the child if that happens.

Keys, iPad, etc. There are many ways this helps travel, never mind daily life.
