Worldmate issue

Anyone ever had this happen before?

I forwarded an itin as usual; the simplest of itins, a domestic DL round trip.

Went to WM to check on it and found it had:

1) Resurrected an old trip from Dec.
2) Extended the date of that trip to the middle of Feb.
3) Rolled into it all future outbound flights
4) Deleted all future inbounds as if they never existed
5) Deleted all hotels

Trips after the middle of Feb were unaffected.

What a PITA. I had to completely delete the past trip, including all the info contained within and then re-forward all my trips and edit them to my liking.

Hi,

We're sorry for this inconvenience caused.

There are various factors which affect the logic behind trip creation.

Please email Ben, our head of Customer Care team directly at [email protected] so we can take a look and provide you with a fast a solution.

Thanks. I blew it off before thinking it was an anomoly, but has happened for the second time in as many months. This time in addition to the above issue, I get flight status updates for a flight I flew on Jan 31.

Emailing now.

This has happened again!!!

Resurrected a completed trip from two weeks ago, rolled everything into it through March 6.

Adi, I emailed Ben. More than a week ago. I have received no response. Not cool.

Sorry, Worldmate. I guess you're not for me. I will be canceling my membership this weekend and going with one of your competitors where hopefully I will get better service.

Oh wow: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/19704371-post18.html

I thought you were just a "huge fan", but as it turns out, you actually work for them. People looking into these apps should pay attention to trickery like this

Also, openly mocking a competitor in public is usually a big nono.

Holy moly! I didn't even notice that, and just finished reading that thread. Very, very poor form - kind of like telling a paying customer to email technical support and getting no response. This only further solidifies my decision to drop WM like a hot potato.

I just signed up for WorldMate, but I must say this thread is not leaving me with a good feeling. Have been a huge fan of TripIt and thought I would take an additional test drive.

If not already the case, would suggest that FT user policy require disclosure of connections like this. Hard to police of course (except for users who make it obvious) but at least should be a policy.
