Google was fairly revealing about getting a prepaid SIM in Belize (just outside BZE from the carrier (digicel.bz) or from numerous agents and retailers) and about top-up.

However, I'm having much more trouble finding solid info on enabling for data. Digicel has an FAQ here that seems to indicate that one needs to separately enable data, but it's not clear, and this appears to be a page set that is out of date anyway.

This Digicell page, conflicting with a couple of others, clearly says that prepaid SIMs can access data on a pay-as-you-go basis -- but doesn't say anything about being able to get a plan (preferably the Unlimited plan mentioned here.)

Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase the Unlimited plan for a prepaid SIM? Any other Belize cell hints, particularly re. data usage?

Never used DigiCell or been in Belize myself, but typically the $40 unlimited monthly plan is for monthly subscribers only.

Ha -- thanks; I had found that page once, and then lost it again. I was (am) still hopeful that there's a way to get the month-at-a-time, but this is the next best thing; I just have to re-up each 24h.
