I'm sorry, can't one google this ? If not for sale in Thailand yet - check the expat forums (if you want to pay a little extra to have one now).

Bangkok is usually a bit more expensive for electronics than some neighboring countries.

That being said, I have used the i-Studio group in a pinch and it worked out quite well for service.

MBK is fun if you don't mind a gamble as you never know what you are really buying and bargaining is time consuming as well as tough with that group.

This website has a comprehensive list:

It appears that in the traditional retail channel the iPad mini is sold out in most countries worldwide.

I am sure you can get one at MBK if you really want to buy an iPad mini today.

Pantip Plaza might be better. Easier to get to MBK though.

Good call on Pantip Plaza. I find the bargaining easier in MBK- perhaps if my Thai language skills were better it would be Pantip Plaza.

Agreed.

Practically any mainstream electronic gadget on the market, about to be on the market, or leaving the market will be for sale somewhere in MBK on any given day.

I was actually almost thinking to pickup an 8 sim phone the last time I was there- I imagined though the battery drain would make it quite useless.

Every time I get up to the phone stalls or any upper floor at MBK, I start thinking "this would be maybe the worst place on earth for a fire" !

Oh my goodness! I don't typically think such dark thoughts- although one time in the middle of the true hell known as the Chatuchak weekend market- I did think- the slightest thing goes wrong and I will be a statistic for one of those 24 hour news channel journalists.

Both times I went to Chatuchak I felt like I was on fire. Must have been 50C under those tents !
