Wifi based IFEs progress/ planned installation

There have been announcements of planned installations of Wifi based IFEs for some time. What I mean by that are systems that let you stream content (movies, music) to your Wifi device. The content comes from a in-flight server not through the internet so it's speedy (and possibly HD).

I was curious if one fellow FTer can help me find out:

- which airlines have already installed these
- which airlines are planning to
- who are the sellers/ providers
- if these systems are any good (streaming speed, UI etc)

Thanks in advance!

After a bit more research I found LH's BoardConnect> Virgin Australia has bought this. Condor and Qantas are in active trials.

I haven't found any usage reports though so far.

Just put in a USB port which outputs enough amps to charge iPads.
