This is a very good suggestion. have used it, one time could not find Wi Fi in a terminal, requested the "longe dragon" a two minute entry to do the Skype thing, all was well.

I think just emailing each other when you've got WiFi access will work. In the past I've had good luck with Boingo Mobile to supplement free locations. It's $8/month for 2 mobile devices and gets you access at lots of Hotspots worldwide including many airports. Check it out here and see if it might work for you. You should be able to use it with both the IPhone and Nexus. Make sure you sign up for all the flight notifications and load up on flight tracking apps and you'll be all set.
