Retractable cables

Has anyone found retractable micro/mini USB cables that work as data cables? I recently bought a slew of retractable data cables from monoprice (minihdmi, ipod, mini/micro USB) and the mini/micro USB ones don't work for data, only for charging.

Yes - for work, we have used "Cables To Go" brand retractable mini-usb cables. Work well enough as can be expected for a retractable cable.

Slightly different but I carry one of these short USB to mini/micro/iPad adapters in my travel bag along with a retractable USB A-A extension cable.

Seems to work for charging & data. They also have a few different combinations like mini/micro etc.

No problems with ReTrak cables. I got mine from Frys, but Amazon have them too.

I purchased six micro USB cables from mono price a year ago and had all of them stop being able to charge my cells within six months. Not sure why they randomly stopped working, but I wont buy USB cables from them now. I've had good luck with their other cables though.

I have a couple of Scosche brand cables, which I bought at WalMart, that work great for both charge and sync. They also have the benefit of being inexpensive.

I've had good luck with these cables for the past few months. You can take off the 30 pin Apple adapter if you don't need it.

I've bought cheaper ones on Amazon that either didn't charge or didn't transmit data (or both--what's the point?)

I see a whole bunch on Ebay for about a buck that is supposed to charge and sync. If it doesn't you'll probably get a refund.

I have one of these exact cables in white that I got free as a giveaway. While I don't get the impression it's of superior quality, it does work great. I would give one a shot if you're looking for one cable to multi-task.

I received one of these to demo at CES this year and it has saved me so much time and space.
