Remotely access an ipad?

Quick question. I figured i would post it here since there are a lot of Ipad users in here. Is there an app that would allow me to remotely access another ipad(from any device ie another ipad or desktop)?

Thanks.

I believe both LogMeIn and Teamviewer can.

ipads and iphones are designed to be taken with you, not used remotely like a desktop system would.

there is, however, a vnc server for jailbroken ipads and iphones.

what are you trying to do that you need to control an ipad remotely?

Getting my mother an ipad. Since i know there will be many many questions, i was hoping to find a way to remote in if necessary. VNC server would work.

Any other options that dont require jailbreaking?

there probably won't be as many questions as you think, especially after you show her the basics of how it works.

as for vnc, the only way is to jailbreak, which is not yet available for the latest ipad.

There is an untethered jailbreak for the iPad 3. He's not in the wild yet.

remote access for my dad's ipad

i think this thread has been dropped, but would love some help. my father, who is about to turn 80, wants to get an ipad. he has NEVER had a computer of any type. he is afraid he won't know how to use it and will get frustrated. we don't live on the same coast, so, i will need to help him via remote access. are there any simple programs that will allow me to use my macbook air and/or macmini to have remote access to his ipad? thank you so much.

he probably won't have as much trouble as he thinks, but if he does, apple stores offer complimentary help as well as classes on what can be done with it (email & browsing, make movies, music, etc.).

but to answer your question, there's no remote access unless you jailbreak it, which i do not suggest for this situation.

I think he will be fine if he can manage a cellphone. iPad's are pretty simple but I do understand if he isn't patient it could drive him up. There are many videos on how to do things via YouTube that could help him.

Hope it all goes well.
