adjusting computer time/date
took a laptop from dc to vce. went to the little time thingie in the lower right hand corner, and adjusted to change time and date. changed it from est to what ever italy time is called(gmt-2 as i recall). some of the stuff saw the change to current time, but stock market quotes and yahoo sports saw a day prior the current day. how do i do it correctly?

You may need to go into the profiles on those sites and tell it what time zone you are in.
For example, on Flyertalk you would need to go into your profile and tell it what time zone you were in for dates and times to display correctly once you left the zone you last set your time zone in.

flyertalk came out ok. when i get a friday 13 2pm stock quote on tuesday at mid day, i have a problem with my stock transaction decisions. bloomberg, yahoo, and etrade all gave the same information and prior day closing reports. i got the correct prices(with 15 min delay) on kat and std and tot sites.

2pm Tuesday in Italy is 8a (or is it 9a) in New York, where US markets are based. So the market wasn't open yet on Tuesday.
US Markets were closed Monday for a holiday.
So at 2p Tuesday in Italy, the latest US market quotes (ignoring pre- and post- market trading) would be from Friday afternoon.
