Firefox 6.x

Well it is not really "Travel Technology" but I installed FF 6 and can honestly say that it has been a POS. Java scripts constantly stopped responding or not working at all, it was noticeably slower than FF 5, and having just ripped it out and gone back to FF 5, I can say that the scripts that were not working, are now working, and it is much much speedier. So, if you are thinking of going to FF 6 (Windows) then test it first is my advice.

I've had no issues with 6.00, 6.01, or 6.02(just installed) and 16 add-ons

I just read an article about someone complaining of the faster and faster bringing out the next versions of the browser. I believe 7 just came out and 6 only came out a couple of weeks ago. It's crazy.

Any particular reason you didn't post this comment in the already existing, and active thread:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...refox-6-x.html

rather than starting a whole new thread on essentially the same topic?

Regards

i just clicked on your link and ended up back in the same place. i have ff 6.01 which i thought was current. it crashes at least 3x a day. it is slow(i keep checking my internet connection). seems lots of things have to have an ug to be compatible. seems ff has lots of ug with no version change.

time to think about ie explorer?

is there a 6.02? did it fix anything?

There is a apparently a 7.0 beta that improves things. I have no intention of trying it though and will stick with FF 5.

My FF6 simply stopped working. Chrome still works fine. I uninstalled FF6 and reinstalled... still says no network connection found. ...? This has happened before as well. Anyone with any ideas?

Edited to discuss the solution: After going to the FF support site (using Chrome), one of the ideas presented was to go to your firewall site (mine is McAfee) and simply click "Settings" and then "Restore Defaults". Now FF works again. Color me annoyed and perplexed!
