Date Stamp Font?

I have a date stamp that I have to use to sign invoices at work. But I travel frequently, and printing/stamping/signing/scanning/downloading/emailing is a pain when on the road.

I have seen references to scanning in my signature, but my company wants the date-stamp and the signature. I found a font called STAMP that I can use to create a reasonable approximation of my original stamp, and then want to insert that image and my signature into the cover page of the invoice. But I can't figure out how to paste it into Adobe Acrobat. I have Acrobat Pro 9.4, Office 2010 and Windows 7.

My thought was to use MS Word to create a three line stamp image, such as this:

John Q. Smith

JUL 03 2011

CO-ADDRS

and then somehow capture that and overlay both it and the signature into the PDF, then email. Bam, all electronic and everyone happy.

Thoughts?

OK. I figured out how to create a custom stamp within Acrobat using SnagIt and the STAMP font within MS Word. That covers the date/stamp question, but now I need to scan in my signature and somehow overlay it onto the new Acrobat stamp. Still working on it, any help appreciated.

Scan in your signature. Save it as a transparent gif. Add it as a custom stamp in Acrobat. You can put stamps on top of each other in Acrobat. Just make sure it's transparent, and you're golden.

What program can I use to make the scanned signature transparent? I assume you are talking about the background of the signature, correct?

Yes...the background. Otherwise the results aren't signature-like. See here: http://www.gregledet.net/?p=5
