Worldmate now on Android

Having been a previous BB user, I utilized Worldmate for itinerary collection point; when I moved to Android I had to switch to TripIt. Now thinking about going back.

Does anyone have any input here? If you use an itinerary app, which do you use and why?

Thanks for the input!

Use the "Search" button above your question and type "worldmate" to find many interesting posts on this topic. Here's one.

Thanks boberonicus. I've seen these threads but I was more curious to know if any FT using these types of apps would now switch from TripIt to Worldmate given the Android release. This thread I didn't see anywhere.

I'm interested in the same thing. I've been a long time tripit user, but I've always felt they are very slow in adding new features and working out bugs. Now I've moved to an android device, and automatically started to look at apps which might be a good companion. I've noticed worldmate and it appears to do everything which TripIt does and possibly more. Could anybody who has used both give their opinion?

I had been a long time user of tripit, and went to worldmate because it gave me the same if not better service. Of course worldmate is cheaper than the $60.00 I was paying tripit. Worldmate has a special for $2.99 going on now. You can find it on twitter. For that kind of savings who would't use worldmate.

I was a long-time WorldMate user who switched to TripIt when I went from BB to Android. In fact, I preferred WM to TripIt when I switched, I just didn't have a choice.

Would I switch back?

No, I am sharing trips with a few people in my company who travel a lot and who also use TripIt so we can see/coordinate common travel. So it would mean switching a number of people. Not worth the hassle.

Also, from what I see, WM doesn't yet support monitoring e-mails and building events automatically in Android (seems they say BB only). Which means one has to forward e-mails to WM to build the itinerary.

I like TripIt but it has its quirks and bugs, too.
