Yeah, the Verizon apps can't all be deleted. But apparently they can be placed into a folder, so I wouldn't root the phone just for that aspect...

It's a great phone no doubt, but there will be phones with more features coming next month. If I were in the market for a phone, I would wait until oct just to see the final specs of the newer phones.

Picked one up today. Seems like my Droid X I had last year. Put it up against the X, Bionic is faster. In the 4G area, this thing downloads things really quick. Havent messed too much with it yet. Will post later.

If anyone wants one, I suggest Costco. For 279.99, I got the phone, nav doc, extra battery, cla, leather case, external battery charger and car mount. I think those extras alone must be over $100, if not more. Plus, they only charge sales tax on the price your buying the phone at, not full retail, like VZW does. Talked with my buddy at VZW, he said he cant touch that deal and to get it at Costco. Good luck!

Samsung Galaxy II is GSM
There is a CDMA variant but not sure what the name is OR if it will ever see the US

Droid Bionic is CDMA, Don't think there is GSM variant planned.

I am in Europe at the moment, and travel frequently to Asia: so GSM is the better option...
