Looking for beta testers for a new iPhone app

AppOven, LLC, a Portland, OR based app developer, is looking for enthusiastic participants for the WindowSeat beta test program. WindowSeat is an offline, in-flight map for air travelers in the continental United States.

As a participant, you will receive an ad-hoc distribution of a pre-release copy of WindowSeat. Your feedback will help us perfect the WindowSeat experience.

Qualifications:

1. You frequently fly U.S. domestic airlines.
2. You use an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad with iOS 4.1 or higher

If you would like to participate, or for more information, contact us at [email protected] and answer the following questions:

1. Which iOS devices do you own?
2. How many U.S. domestic flights will you be taking in December 2010?

Sincerely,
AppOven, LLC.

I am kind of curious to hear more about the app. Is it basically like Airshow though on an iPhone? I have always tried to get a GPS lock while I am flying with using my iPhone, though it never seems to work.

Is this a GPS based program? If so, the iPod Touch won't work since it doesn't have a GPS chip.

WindowSeat does not require GPS to operate. WindowSeats patent-pending technology predicts the location of all commercial flights in the continental U.S. based on historical flight path data between your departure and arrival airports.
