Take a look at the cases made by Sena -- http://www.senacases.com/apple/ipod-...premium-stand/ -- that's the one I have.

I have a nice leather case from Belkin that I picked up at Best Buy. (It looks a lot like the picture in post #2 above.) Since case choice is such an individual thing, you might want to go somewhere like Best Buy or another store that has a large selection and see what works best for you. A lot depends on how you're going to use your device, where you're going to carry it (pocket, belt clip, in a purse or backpack, etc.), and what you want it to look like. Personally, I've never used the screen protectors and my iPod Touch doesn't seem any worse for it.

I use a cheap silicone case - probably not much drop protection but makes it more grippy in my hand and a screen protector.
The case cost about 2 pounds from amazon, personally I couldn't believe when I first started looking and saw many for $20 plus. And prices in CZ are unrealistically high for some reason.

I have a Belkin leather pouch with an open front and a belt clip on the back. it's great for carrying around on my belt or clipping to the magazine holder on a flight. I got it a JR for a good price. I had one of the clip cases with a magnetic fastener which was causing wifi connectivity problems...and techs the Apple Store told to me get rid of it. who knows...

I am a HUGE fan of the OtterBox cases. For the iPhone Touch the 3rd Generation Defender serises is awesome. I have the Otterbox Commuter on my iPhone and Blackberry. Droped both quite a few times and not a scratch. Bit more expensive (about $35-$40) but worth every penny.
