If you're talking T-Mobile yes there is limited roaming but not as extensive as with monthly billed accounts. Also with T-Mobile prepaid you can roam in Canada and Mexico. You cannot with GoPhone.

I have the $40/month Even More Plus plan (no-contract, 500 min, unlimited text) with the $10 package added for unlimited internet for $50/month total. You need to make a minor setting change in the phone to get it to work on that $10 plan, but it works great once you do.
I think the T-Mobile plan above may be the best, as long as the $10 data plan continues to work. The only alternative that has not been mentioned is mysimplemobile. They have 2 plans with data.

$50 - unlimited nationwide text & talk + 50 MB data
or
$60 - unlimited nationwide text & talk + 150 MB data

They are using the T-Mobile network. You can read about it at http://howardforums.com/showthread.p...8&page=1&pp=15 and http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1900078

Good luck!!

Explore

PS They also include unlimited international texting. Additional data $10 for 50mb and $25 for 150mb.

PPS Have not used mysimplemobile yet.

MY GF has a BB Flip on a prepaid TMO plan.

I wonder if BB Messenger will work on Simple Mobile if she buys their data plan??

Don't BlackBerry plans require a special plan just for the BB service?

$600?!?!? Is that per year?
WHOOOOOPS

That should be $60 per month for the AT&T GoPhone unlinited talk and text plan.

I will edit my first post when I am on regular FT, as this version of Mobile does not give me the Edit button for older posts.

Yes it does. My Simple Mobile tells me that they hope to offer BB service soon.

Not sure I buy that though.

I'm not quite sure what you don't "buy." You cannot use the BB service without the special BB server arrangement. It's not automatically there.

I'm afraid I've miscommunicated my answer.
You are correct that you need the BB server arrangement to use BB Messenger.

What I meant by "I don't buy it" was I don't believe My Simple Mobile will be offering the BB Messenger service anytime soon.

Sorry for the confusion.

Yup T mobile is your best bet. Tmo has the best prepaid non plan out there.
