Their stores are often quite flexible in waiving the fee, especially when you have intent to purchase a more expensive product. Granted, the 3G version won't be available within your two week window, so YMMV.

Wow, I didn't realize one could do that!

Wouldn't it be great if you could upgrade your IPAD to the latest and greatest instead of having to return the thing.

So what is it in your presentation that you need an iPad so urgently for that you can't wait for the version you want? Mankind has waited 200,000 years for the iPad, and I would be astonished if you couldn't wait a few more weeks.
