Question iphone podium

So - this is a very silly question. I bought a Podium stand for my iphone to use mainly when watching movies and reading, especially when flying. I love the thing - have only used it at home so far. Any opinions on whether this thing would be looked at by TSA as a "potential weapon"? It's pretty heavy and made of a solid metal. Has anyone brought one on flights?

Thanks for any input.

I think I know what you're talking about - it's a brushed aluminum thing, right? Kind of like a notebook stand but smaller?

I looked at it but didn't want to carry it around - ended up buying an iBend:

I actually bought a few as stocking stuffers.

I also have used overturned Starbucks cup sleeves in a pinch.

yes - that's what it is and it's great. Just not sure on the airline security thing.

Unless it is on a list of prohibited items, you have nothing to worry about.

I'd say a desk stapler is more of a potential weapon. I wouldn't worry about it.

I've used a Gorillapod, which is plastic.

But I was stopped in Italy or France from boarding with my tripod, which is about 13-inches fully retracted. Had to stuff it on my check-in bag.
