FlightTrack or Flight Update

I am debating whether I should get FlightTrack or Flight Update for my iPhone. Can anyone offer me any solid advice (with pro and con if possible)? Thank you.

So, no FTers can offer any suggestion or advice regarding either app? I find it hard to believe though consider this is a website that frequent flyers gather right?

It shouldn't be that hard to believe. There are a lot of members but not everyone uses all the apps out there.

I use FlightTrack pro version. It works great for me. Gate info is always accurate and weather is a nice addition.

Anyone want to share their opinions on FlightTrack Pro and Flight Update Pro (or other iPhone apps)?

I've just joined the iPhone ranks and I'm trying to decide which one is better/more useful.

thanks!

I've used FlightTrack Pro for some time now, and it never lets me down. It is usually quicker to inform me than the airline emails. I use Android, so I can't comment on Flight Update.

At $10, FlightTrack Pro is just a fantastic bargain. Of course, its TripIt support is one of the things that makes it perfect.

+1 for FlightTrackPro. Aside from giving you all the important info I like that it shows (in red) the number of minutes for my connection.

My understanding is that Flight Update Pro has push alerts now. I know that FlightTrack is the better selling App, but I've seen a couple favorable reviews of Flight Update Pro. I'm surprised there isn't much discussion on FT about these two Apps, since they really are "must haves" for our hobby. But I'd still love feedback from people who have used both.

I'm particularly interested in Flight Update Pro since it has SeatGuru seating charts. However, I don't believe it has weather radar maps like Flight Track Pro. I suspect that the SeatGuru charts are more useful, though. Any thoughts/opinions?

I use Trip Case for my travel and they update flight times. Not sure about gates. It's a very good app for travelers.

I have both apps actually. I disable the push on Flight Update but use it the most, yet I rely on the FlightTrack for push notifications. I absolutely love the Upload to tripit on Flight Update, as any irop I just upload new flt, and my Fiance can download the new flight on FlightTrack and get push incase its delayed as well. Plus I like how you cant seperate the trips on Flight Update, where on Flight Track it is all one screen.

Another +1 for FlightTrack Pro.

I've been using it for awhile and it is awesome. It often updates the gates (even the random changes) even before the airport announces the gate change. The ability to search for flights with the same route has been a lifesaver. I've been able to catch flights on standby that I find by myself and even weigh different flight options the day of.

I just created a TripIt account that I link up with a dummy GMail account to automatically sync all my work trips to TripIt and then FlightTrack. This program is legit.
