RSS Notifier

I follow a for sale thread forum quiet closely because I am looking for a specific item to purchase, however it always seems that someone beats me to the punch. The thread / forum is available with a RSS feed.

I am wondering if there is a software/utility that can read the newest RSS feed postings and then send me some notification (via email as I have a blackberry) that new threads with the specific key word are available therefore I can go and purchase the items I need.

Thanks!

reader.google.com does not notify you but can be used to consolidate all your RSS feeds.

I use Yahoo Alerts and feedMyInbox for email notifications.

If you're an IM user and want to get hardcore and receive notifications via IM within seconds for RSS-based updates, Friendfeed is the way to go. The learning curve for Friendfeed can be steep, though. It's truly the Swiss Army Knife of information aggregation.
