Carry on for BOTH US Domestic and International
I am trying to find a carryon (2 or 4 wheels) that will double for both US Domestic and International. From what I see, most US Domestic is 22x14x9, while International tends to be slightly lower but wider such as 21.5 x 15.5 x 9. So taking looking for a case that is 21.5 x 14 x 9 would seem to work. There seem to be very few that fit the bill. The only one that I see is the Travelpro Crew Global. I know this assumes airlines enforce their hard rules but are there other options that fit the bill? I like the Walkabout 5 from Macy's but it seems taller than 21.5 once external measurements are taken into account. It donesn't have to be Travelpro, just anything that would work.

I have the Travelpro Maxlite spinner, which has fit in international budget airline overheads and at 5.3# its still possible (but not easy!) to pack for a week without exceeding the 10kg limit.

I have the TravelPro Crew VersaPack Global Carry-On Expandable Spinner. I bought it for that very reason. Works for both domestic and international flights.

H: 21.5 in. x W: 14 in. x D: 9 in.
