Lightweight, secure backpack - which one

Would you recommend a lightweight backpack/daypack/briefcase with couple of compartments, one of them for a travel notebook? One very desired feature (apart to be lightweight) is that it should not have zippers on back to eliminate option of opening it unnoticing. Another very desired option is to be built from a durable material so slicing it using knife or box opener would not work either.

Thanks.

I've yet too see the combination of "backwards" (no outside zippers) AND cutter protection (and than forget about lightweight, too).
Examples for backwards: Riut Bags; anti-cut: pacsafe
I settled with the Riut (at ~1kg not lightweight per se), which has a quite durable shell. It can be cut, but not just so while running along.

There are several backpacks that open "from the back". For both motorcycle use and climbing use as well as many camera specific packs. Times you don't want to have your stuff fall out if accidentally left unzipped.

The OGIO No Drag or Mach series bags open from the back.

North Face makes something similar to the Ice Project pack that opens backwards.

Also the NF Access pack

F-stop Loka

Riutbag

PacSafe has a bag that I think meets your needs. While it opens from the back you can lock it.
