Opinions/Experiences with InsureandGo Wanted
We want to buy a 90-day travel insurance policy. InsureandGo has the lowest
premiums by far, in fact they are so much lower that I have to wonder what the catch is. Reviews of this company are all over the map. Have any forum members used this company and would you recommend it to others? If not, what is a good low cost alternative? We will be traveling to Spain if that makes a difference. TIA

Opinions/Experiences with InsureandGo Wanted
I have been using them for the last 4 years for all of my international trips. Had to use them once for delayed baggage compensation. They came through. My bags were delayed in Edinburgh and the airline did not provide any compensation. Insureandgo covered all charges I had to pony up except for cell phone.
all in all worth it. claims prices easy. called and opened a case. They assigned an agent to whom then I had to email/fax the receipts, flight ticket, boarding pass etc and that was it.
good experience for me!

Part of the reason for price variance is tied to coverage, and deductible.
The number of boxes you "check" vary wildly.
Trip interruption and/or cancellation.
Baggage issues.
Local healthcare
Medical evacuation back home
life insurance
etc

need to compare
1. Policy premiums vary because the coverages vary. You need to compare coverages and their amounts 1 by 1 for a true apples comparison.
2. Complaints--typically the reviews of individual consumers are negative if a claim was denied. This is across all travel insurers.
3. Look for their BBB rating. This will indicate how well they pay claims v. industry average and their customer service.
4. Checkout reviews.com

It really depends on your needs. We use www.csatravelprotection.com because it is US based with A+ rating w/ the BBB. We rarely need the PRE trip coverages and CSA's IN TRIP coverages are strong and low priced. Their website is not flashy which indicates they are serious about insurance, not marketing.
