B&R Baseline (Domestic or International WB) on Carpet?
My trusty Travelpro Crew 3 rollaboard's handle has died, and I've been informed there are no longer parts for the extension/retract assembly. So am looking for a new rolled carry-on.
Have scoffed at the spinners, but am now looking more seriously since B&R has entered the scene.
Am a medium-frequency traveler, my current arrangement is a traditional roller with B&R cabin duffel slung in front. On smooth floors, I don't find this at all taxing, and can "pull" with just a finger or two as it balances perfectly. However, down long, carpeted hotel hallways, I do feel the drag a bit, and it is a bit unwieldy in shops, negotiating airport clubs, etc.
In reading the various threads on the spinners, seem they suffer from the same fate, with carpeting being a challenge.
So, my questions are:
1. How do the B&R Baseline spinners do in a 2-wheel pull over carpet? Are the wheels large enough to make this at least as easy as a traditional roller?
2. How are they in spinner config on industrial carpet, such as hotels and increasingly more airport concourses?
3. If my only real gripe with a traditional wheeled is over carpet and tight spaces, should I even be looking at a spinner?
If it makes a difference, I am just under 5' tall, which may be why my current configuration requires so little effort - I'm hitting the sweet spot in balance vs. weight at the angle I pull.

As a general rule, all 4-wheel spinners are worse on carpet than traditional 2-wheel rollaboards, and B&R is no exception. If performance on carpet is a deal breaker for you, I would steer you away from spinners entirely. Having said that, at least B&R does employ larger rear wheels than front wheels, which does help mimic a traditional 2-wheel config, however it is still worse than their true 2-wheelers. I would say, spinners are better on hard floors and worse on carpets.
