Don't antiperspirants stain clothes by definition? After I switched to crystal deodorants, my undershirts stayed white. That crystal product looks good, except that it seems to have no scent. I like a whiff of this and a puff of that. |
suggestions for Mini-Deoderant for Travel
Regarding antiperspirants, I find if I'm in a situation that makes me sweat, I will sweat no matter what I have on. I gave up on them and just use the crystal, which kills the odor. I find I don't really sweat too much in normal situations.

For those of us who abhor T-shirts and want to keep the armpit areas on our clothes from being stained; spraying Oxyclean on that area before washing eliminates any problem. Then you can use an anti-perspirant/deodorant and not go through the day all hot because you are wearing an unnecessary layer of clothing and not have to deal with soaked armpits or stains.

The rules state 3.4 oz. Last I looked, there was around 28 grams in an ounce, so 3.4 oz is around 100 grams (technically it's slightly below, but near enough).
If they meant 3.4 fluid ounces, then they should have said so... Deodorant is not liquid (unless someone is using a spay version) and does not need to be in a 3-1-1 bag. I always travel with a full size deodorant and sits in the same bag (inside my carry on) where my toothbrush, hairbrush, razor etc solid toiletries sit. Waste of money to buy baby deodorants, because the normal size ones take no space inside a bag. |

I carry on Degree solid armpit material all of the time and not in my Kippie ziploc. Surprisingly I've never had a TSA clerk do a bag check. |
But it is nice to be able to condense all toiletries into one 311 bag, then put it out on the bathroom counter and you are done.

a) All the toiletries I need must fit into a ziplock sandwich sized bag b) All my gizmos (except the laptop and iPad) need to fit into a single pouch that can rest next to my laptop in the laptop compartment (I am unfortunately breaking this rule nowadays and need to figure out a way back to a single pouch) For a) I've invested in the most compact items that still leaves me lot of space to add stuff, including the incredibly excellent Muhler Travel shaving brush which lets me indulge in a bit of morning luxury instead of resorting to rubbing oils and gels (been there done that). But I digress. I too need them all in one bag. +1 on that. |
